What is a phone consultation?

An opportunity for client and therapist to briefly ask questions about each other and find out if they are a good fit to work together.  

What to expect at the first session?

You and your therapist will spend time getting to know each other and find out what you'd like to work on in therapy. Your therapist will ask you questions about yourself, your past, and what you'd like to address. They also share a little about how they work. 

How often do we meet?

Typically your therapist will meet with clients every week or every other week to start. 

How long are sessions?

Typically sessions are 50-55 minutes. 

Do you take insurance?

Yes, Michelle accepts Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthCare insurances. She can also provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider to utilize out-of-network benefits. 

What do I need to bring to the session?

An open mind. Some people like to bring a journal or notebook to take notes on what is discussed.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of how much a client will be charged for healthcare services they will be receiving, prior to starting services. Your state-licensed therapist is required to provide a Good Faith Estimate to new and continuing clients who are not insured or those that are not planning to submit a claim to their insurance.
